For the 50th Reunion

Web Masters Note: One of the significant feelings we all experienced upon our graduation was that of a new found frredom and the realization that we were now entering adulthood, including all of it's implication. No longer would we be protected by our parents and teachers, now we would be able to make our own decisions and would be accountable for those decisions. Now we could pursue those adventures we had always dreamed about and retain the knowledge those life experiences would provide us. The following ancedote is about four of our classmates pursuing those dreams.

From Ted Reutz - 2011

I though you might want to have a picture of when we were taking off from in front of LRCHS in June 1961 with the intention of driving Fernando home to Bolivia. We never got to Bolivia, but we did have a truck wreck (rolling over 3 times on the way to Acapulco, spent several days in jail while Fernando negotiated a smaller bribe to substitute for the larger fine we were being charged for getting blue paint from our truck on the highway boulders as we turned over & over), had the truck put back to together in Mexico City, and made it down to San Jose, Costa Rica. All and all a most excellent adventure.
Best regards,

Ted Reutz
